So I get home today and as I am preparing dinner my 9 year old Daughter asks me why did President Obama apologize for us bombing Japan in WWII.

I told her I am not real sure why he did that.

To which she followed up with, "They attacked us first, of course we hit them back."

Can you see the tear I shed from here?

A child with natural intellect and rational thought... nurture that...

Way to go kiddo! In all fairness even though Nuking a country isn't very nice... we didn't think it would be that devastating when we dropped the first bomb... and we would probably never do it again because we have better weapons today. But if you start something with the USA... it should be understood... that WE are sure to finish it.

You can attribute that to the way you have raised them. Keep it up, Paco, you should be proud.... :yup:

I am proud. My Wife and I take care in teaching them Biblical values and American pride. We serve God and our community.

I even have the pledge of allegiance that is cross stitched hanging in the classroom (we homeschool).

I found out yesterday that during the kids TKD class the instructor and a few of the parent's were talking about getting together to go to the range and my 12 yo informed them all that "My Daddy has an AK47" and another tear came to my eye for him. I then reminded him we don't talk about what Daddy has at home.
