Is this what it has come to?
Dodge ball banned? Jumping rope without a rope? "Air Fives" instead of High Fives? "Air Hugs" instead of hugs?
The socialists are winning and they are teaching our kids how to excel at mediocrity and how to be the best cannon fodder types that we could ever hope for.
Have a look and see.

I have long thought this was going on. There is even a Christian Comedian who has a whole album devoted to this subject.
Check out Brad Stine (http://www.bradstine.com).

I grew up back in the day when "you could tell the difference betwixed men and women..."
But alas...no more.
The days of "no blood, no foul" are over...

We're not even talking "men and women" here Froman... we're talking kids...
You're dead right, HotGuns... that's a mediocrity academy... what do you want to bet they are already discussing dropping letter grades, lest any kid actually "fail"...?
I loved dodgeball... it's not just an attack, it is tactics and evasion, too... valuable skills, in my mind...
Thinking back on it, I was very predatory and strategic... I always tried to take out the most athletic and dangerous opponents so they couldn't attack my team... I bet some whiney, overprotective child psychologist coulda done her doctorate thesis on me... LOL

They really are becoming wusses. If they implemented that in a school one of my kids attended I would yank them out and send them to private school. Imagine, if this becomes the norm, what will come next. I find it incredible that anyone would think this is any kind of issue....:argh:

Unbelievable.
I guess this only applies to gym class? or recess?
Sports are still very competitive for kids.
My son wrestled since he was 6 years old. When a kid would mouth off, I always told my son "don't get mad....get even....get him on the mat".
He was a 2 time state finalist.
Wrestling rocks. It's definitely not for wussies.

Nope it aint.
When I was in highschool we won the Illinois State Wrestling Championship two years in a row.
I didnt do it, I thought I needed a rest after football, and it looked like too much work.
The worst mistake I ever made was pinning my best friend in a practice, he was the state champion 145 lb. wrestler. The Wrestling coach wore me out trying to get me to join the team but I wouldnt do it. It got so bad that I avoided him every chance that I could. Those guy rans their tails off trying to make weight and I hated running.

What the he!! are these kids going to do when they get out in the real world? They are being set up for failure, to become liberals feeding on the government teat.

Add to that the de-masculanization that has been going on in this nation since the swinging 60's and the attempt to turn our boys in to girls (no offense to girls) and you have a recipe for disaster.

Soon we'll be watching baseball games and football games without a scoreboard...because it wont really matter.
They are all "winners" right?:five01:
oops...sorry about that "high five" icon.
We'll have to talk to Bumper about that. Cant have any contact right? He needs to separate the those two little smilies and turn it into an "air five". :hmmmm2:
They are all "winners" right?
If they are all winners that means they tied. If they all tied that means they are all losers.

I've used almost the same expression, except mine had a 'p' as the first letter.....I shoot a Wed. Night League....the first year, I came in 20 out of 25.....everyone else was reloading as I was dealing with 230 grain ball ammo recoil.....I've gotten way better thanks....anywho...first year I got a T-shirt which I still love and a plaque......Division "C" Third Place....I asked my friend the owner of the store, "To what level of mediocrity do we award plaques?". He smiled and explained that some people just wanted to have something to hang on the wall......Competitive spirit, where are you.....I was accurate with the 'p'....
