I would like to take a moment to recognize an organization that is now entering its 100th year of promoting traditional American values. The Boy Scouts of America teaches young men throughout our country the ideals that have and will support our country. Scouting also educates young men in a variety of areas ranging from cooking to marksmenship to environmental sciences.

Scouting has had a profound influence on my life and it will always be a part of me. Post up if scouting has been a part of your life.

Yup, great organization. I was a scout leader years ago and had a pretty good group of kids. No stoners, sissy boys, Goth types, just good well grounded kids.....

Older son is an Eagle Scout, younger one arrives at Philmont Scout Ranch today for a backpacking trek, and my daughter (my youngest) is a Girl Scout. I'm an active Scouter, as was my father.
