Not really a gadget but really neat and useful.
Google offers a bunch of free tools that are fantastic.
Google Calendar allows you to put your calendar online so it can be easily accessed from any connected computer or hand held device. You can share calendars, and decide whether or not to allow the person you're sharing with the ability to change or add to your calendar. You can even display more than one calendar at a time. My wife and I have each others calendars showing, something we've wished we had available for years now.
Google Docs allows you to share documents and access them from anywhere. You can even have multiple people editing the same document. What I really like about it is that the document is always current, I don't have to worry about keeping them all synced.
